This area of learning includes art, music, dance, role play and imaginative play. Children are encouraged to let their imagination take over and immerse themselves in a creative activities.
Physical Development and Movement
This is about improving skills of co-ordination, control, manipulation and movement. Children also learn about how to keep themselves healthy.
Mathematical understanding is developed through stories, song, games and imaginary play. This area of learning included counting, sorting, matching, seeking patterns, working with numbers, shapes and measures
Personal, social and emotional development
This area of learning is about developing the well-being, self-esteem and confidence of each child. Children become aware of the world beyond their immediate environment and learn about others with tolerance, respect and open-mindedness.
This area of learning is about learning to listen, speak and communicate with both adults and children and developing skills in readiness to read and write.
The World Around Us
This area of learning helps children to make sense of the world around them. It forms the foundation for later work in science, design and technology, history and information communication technology.
